The New York Times is one of the first and most prolific publishers of VR content among media outlets. The NYT gifted subscribers over 1.5 million Google Cardboard sets, setting the stage for a new generation of immersive video journalism. The Times’ forward thinking media strategy also paved the way for an unprecedented partnership between the NYT, Google and Vusr.

WHAT VUSR has accomplished

Working in close collaboration with Google and the Times, the Vusr team constructed the NYT VR app for iOS, Android, and Daydream. To date, over 200 VR experiences have been delivered to NYT’s growing, worldwide audience.
